Unlike the smooth, quick release of our Urethane solids, Xcel thumb sleeves have a grainy texture when finished and aid in slowing release or gaining grip. This product is often recommended for bowlers with very dry skin. The Wrist Restrictor is an easy-to-use training aid that can be worn to restrict or enhance wrist rotation during the bowling release. Topping the ball, or over-rotating, at the point of release drastically affects the movement of the ball down lane. The Wrist Restrictor will help sync wrist and elbow through the release to correct over rotation. A backup ball release is a clockwise (RH) or counter clockwise (LH) rotation of the wrist which is opposite of a traditional hook. Aids in lifting an Inner Sleeve insert up and out of a tight thumb hole. Removable inserts can become difficult to remove when a ball core expands due to hot/cold climate changes or simply over time as the ball absorbs lane oil. Ball core expansion puts pressure on the Switch Grip Outer Sleeve which causes difficulty in removing or turning the Inner Sleeve. The Jack aids in removing Inner Sleeves that tighten up in ball.
