Keep It Simple with Switch Grip
Turbo 2-N-1 Grips introduced the revolutionary Switch Grip Interchangeable Thumb Insert nearly 4 years ago. It is now helping bowlers and pro shops worldwide improve performance and serviceability. It is the ONLY interchangeable thumb product endorsed and featured by many major bowling brands including Ebonite (Demo Days), Hammer (Sneak Peak) and Storm (Showcase) programs.

There have been many improvements to those early models to enhance the overall strength and durability of the product including the 'BIG' 2-tier Locking Tabs and Wide Bottom features of the Inner Sleeve and the 'beefed-up' Interlocking Rails of the Outer Sleeve. Switch Grip is now stronger and more reliable than ever.*

Switch Grip can also be used with Custom Thumb molds and remains the most reliable and versatile interchangeable insert on the market.

There are no special tools, like screw drivers or hammers, required to install and use. Once the ball is equipped with an Outer Sleeve, just a twist and click of the Inner Sleeve will do. The Inner Sleeve is available with our popular urethane solid pre-installed so that the pro shop can drill to size like a traditional thumb solid. For those bowlers that use and enjoy the comfort of a custom thumb mold, our Inner Sleeve assembly can be purchased blank so that the custom thumb mold can be installed.

Time is a valuable asset in today's fast paced world. Switch Grip can be installed in under 10 minutes and only requires 2 components, an Outer and Inner Sleeve. No confusing components to order, count or assemble.

*Durability and Wear

The life and wear of an interchangeable insert varies by user. It's difficult to measure just how long an interchangeable thumb insert will last because of many individual factors like style of release (grip pressure, timing of release), the number of games bowled per week/month/year, the number of times the insert is removed and interchanged from ball to ball, proper installation and general product care. Any one or combination of factors will reduce the life of the product. Product care is perhaps the easiest to address. To avoid broken tabs or cracks in locking mechanism, Inner Sleeves should be stored in a protective case or bag. They should not be stored loosely in outside pockets or bottom of bowling bags as they can get damaged in transit.

Like most products, wear is inevitable. If you feel any movement in the Inner Sleeve when locked into Outer Sleeve, either up or down or side to side, or Inner Sleeve just doesn't 'click' and lock securely into place, it may be time to replace the Inner and/or Outer Sleeve. Wear might not require the replacement of both assemblies. It is best to have your pro shop professional inspect the assembly to determine product condition and replacement options. Often times it is just the Inner Sleeve that needs to be replaced.

Special note: The Inner Sleeve when inserted properly will only fit into the Outer Sleeve one way. If the BIG tabs of the Inner Sleeve are lined up with the opening receptacles of the Outer Sleeve and the Inner Sleeve doesn't drop into place, the Inner Sleeve is upside down. You should never force the Inner Sleeve into place. If you force Inner Sleeve into place, you may strip the second tier portion of the BIG Tab which is designed to secure and enhance the strength of the product.
