Cain earns PBA Regional Awards
The PBA announced today the season-ending awards for the 2007-08 PBA Regional Tour season. Each of the seven PBA Regions awarded a Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Pat Patterson award. The awards for Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year are voted on by the seven Regional Managers and John Weber, Director of the Senior and Regional Tours. The Pat Patterson award was selected by the respective Regional Managers. The Pat Patterson Award is given annually to one member in each of the seven regions for contributions to the PBA Regional programs. The award has been given out since 1972 and carries the name of the late Pat Patterson, who was responsible for numerous advancements which benefited the PBA in its early stages.
Among the many awards given out, we are delighted to report that Team Turbo Regional Staff Member Andrew Cain of Scottsdale, Arizona earned Rookie of the Year honors for the PBA Northwest Region. He made match play in five of six events and finished 2nd twice. He also earned Rookie of the Year honors in the PBA West Region after leading the region in Points Rankings which earned him his first career Tour Exemption. Andrew earned one win and two runner-up finishes in the Western Region this season. He made match play in 11 of 17 events and finished 2nd in earnings with $13,425. Way to go Andrew! We look forward to seeing you on Tour next season.
